| 小说《悟空传》的主题是“本性比所有的神明都高贵”。人们总是生活在某种既定的社会价值规范中。这种既存的社会价值规范设定了一种神妖二元对立的价值体系——凡是在其秩序之内的都是“神”，被排除在其秩序之外的则是“妖”，被认定为“妖”者往往失去对自我的判断能力，一心向往成为“神”，孙悟空就是如此。为了成为“神”，他自觉地去除“妖精”，积功德，当所有的“妖”都被除尽时，他也就最终除掉了自己，成就了如来的阴谋。因而，认识自我，认同自我，逃离既存价值体系，才是解放自我之路。这是《悟空传》的深刻意义所在。 |

| “Nature is superior to gods”is viewed as the theme of the novel A Biography of Wukong.People invariably live in terms of certain norms of social values. The morms has established the dualistic value system of gods and evil spirits. Within it are all gods,and without it are evil spirits. Those who are considered evil spirits tend to lose self judgement and look forward to being gods.Among them is Sun Wukong. In order to be a god, he manages to exorcize "demons" and do good deeds for his own salvation,only to help Rulai's plot succeed. Therefore, it’s a way for self liberation to escape the established value system by self recognition and self identification,This is where the significance of the novel lies. |
