| 1937年12月侵华日军攻略南京与南京大屠杀，是日本军国主义最高当局全力实施对华武力征服与战争恐怖威慑的殖民政策，以迫使中国军民与中国政府畏惧与屈服，达到以战迫和、实际是以战迫降之目的。但在中国人民不屈不挠的持久抗战面前，日本当局的殖民政策从占领南京那一天就开始破产了。日本当局不得不陷入他们所极不情愿的对华长期战争的泥潭中而不能自拔。历史证明，南京之战与南京大屠杀，既是日本最高当局对华推行武力征服与恐怖威慑政策的最高峰，也是这政策走向失败的开始。 |

| Japanese invaders' attacking and seizing Nanjing and committing the Nanjing massacre in December,1937 was a colonialist policy of armed subjugation and war horror deterrence implemented by the top authorities of the Japanese militarism against China.Its purpose was to make the Chinese army and people as well as the Chinese government fear and subdue,thereby forcing them to make peace,but in fact,to surrender with war.However,faced with the Chinese people's dauntless and protracted War of Resistance Against Japan,this policy of the Japanese authorities'began to fall through from the very day Nanjing was occupied.The Japanese authorities could not but sink into the mire of their unwilling long term war against China,and were unable to extricate themselves from it.History has proved that the Battle in Nanjing and the Nanjing Massacre were not only the summit of the policy of armed subjugation and horror deterrence pursued by the top authorities of Japan against China,but also the beginning of its heading for failure. |
