| 20世纪西方现代派文学是人类文明发展的产物。 文明的每一次进步都意味着人类相应的异化，但人类在每一次相应的异化中都极力地寻找着自我。从《老人与海》的追求意识,《查特莱夫人的情人》的性意识,《第二十二条军规》中的战争意识,到《变形记》和《局外人》中的孤独意识,无不体现了人类在文明进程中一次次面对自我的回归意向。这种回归以其强烈的人道主义精神挣脱着人类在改造自然的同时套在自己身上的种种非人化枷锁。 |

| The western modernist literature of the 20th century is the product of the development of human civilization. Each progress in human civilization means its corresponding alienation, but man is striving to seek himself in the meantime. Such endeavor is displayed as the sense of pursuance in The Old Man and the Sea, the consciousness of sex in Lady Chatterley's Lover, the sense of war in Catch 22, and the sense of solitarity in Metamorphosis and The Outsider, to name just a few. Man's return to himself in the light of humanistic spirit is a struggling release from shackles of dehumanization in the process of nature remaking. |
