The basic analytical tool employed is Gini Coefficient, with which the degree of uneven development of the Internet among different provinces can be reflected. A linear regression analysis is then conducted in order to find out the significant factors related to the phenomenon under study. It is found out that the gaps in terms of the Internet penetration among different areas in China are narrowing in recent years, and the geographical divides are gradually akin to those of economic development. The key factors that affect the difference of the Internet penetration among different areas are somehow changing with time. In the early stage of the Internet penetration, economic factor proves to be the most significant; as the diffusion continues, however, other factors such as consumptive structure and residents'lifestyle begin to function in the diffusion of the Internet. 查看全文  查看/发表评论  下载PDF阅读器 关闭
