| 中国近代由于特殊的历史情境和以儒学为主导的中国传统文化的自身特性，使得对于宗教的否定评判成为这一时期学术界的主流态度。早期现代新儒家在宗教问题上既深受这一主流态度的影响，又表现出一定的特殊性：他们否定宗教，尤其是反对在中国通过宗教的方式来重建中国人的“精神家园”；但是，他们建构的新儒学的理论又具有强烈的宗教色彩。 |

| Because of the special historical situation of modern China and the specific features of traditional Chinese culture dominated by Confucianism, the mainstream attitude of the academic field towards religions in this period is the negation of them. Influenced greatly by this attitude, the early New Confucianism demonstrates some specific features: though they hold a negative attitude towards religions, particularly reconstructing Chinese valuation system in the manner of religion, the theory of New Confucianism they constructed is rather religious. |
