| 在世界版图上，经济社会发达的地区与城市大多分布在沿海。从江苏省内经济带、城市竞争力、省际沿海地区比较等角度对江苏沿海地区的经济发展现状进行了实证考察，发现江苏沿海地区目前处在“洼地”状态，“沿海地区普遍比内陆发达”这一规律，在江苏这一经济大省内部尚未得到体现。 |

| Most of the developed cities or regions are located in the coastal area in the world. In other words, the coastal areas are usually more developed than the inland. But it seems not true when referring to the Jiangsu Province. This paper empirically studied the economic situation of the Jiangsu coastal region to test the proposition above in terms of economic concentration, city competitiveness, and cross provincial comparison. The result show that the economy in Jiangsu coastal region is less developed compared to other regions, which contradicts the general regularity. |
