美国华裔女作家任碧莲的小说《典型的美国佬》书写了全球化时代背景下华裔移民文化认同的变迁。以列斐伏尔空间理论的三个最重要的空间维度，即空间的呈现、空间实践、呈现性空间，对照文本呈现的文化空间、家园空间、身体空间的生产，将空间生产理论“挪用”于文本的解读实践，探究《典型的美国佬》文本中女性人物海伦的女性空间意识。海伦在文化空间、生活空间和社会空间中的追寻和探索，是她在后现代时空下重塑自我的有益尝试，也是对跨地域文化价值观的重建。

英文摘要:

In Typical American, American Chinese novelist Gish Jen writes about the conceptual transformation of Chinese immigrants in the process of cultural identification in the context of globalization. The thesis attempts to close read the novel under the framework of the theory of spatial production to explore the feminine sense of space of Helen, one of the central characters. The thesis tries to make reference to the three dimensions of Lefevre's theory: representation of space, spatial praxis, spaces of representation, the three of which correspond to the production of cultural space, home space and body space in the text. Helen's pursuit of space is a worthwhile effort to re shape self in the post modern time space and a reconstruction of cross culture values.
