| 从古希腊思想学家的探索到当今新制度主义经济学者的回答，西方对制度的经济分析形成了一个悠久的历史传统。在美国旧制度主义产生之前，西方的制度分析往往带有浓厚的哲学色彩，体现出对社会结构以及人在社会中的命运的关怀。美国旧制度主义者则将社会的各种规则纳入制度分析，强调制度的动态演化过程。自科斯开始兴起的新制度经济学派则以新古典经济学的框架为基础，强调交易过程有关变量对经济绩效的关键作用，弥补了新古典主义的理论缺陷，增强了对经济现实的解释能力。 |

| There has been a long history of the economic analysis of institutions in the West. From ancient Greek thinkers to new institutionalist economists today, the history has seen a long tradition of institutional analysis. Before the occurrence of American old institutionalism, institutional analysis had a heavy philosophical bent, with an attention paid to social structure and the destiny of its people. American old institutionalists took social rules into institutional analysis, and emphasized the dynamic process of its evolution. The school of new institutional economics having been developed since Coarse, based on the framework of neo classical economics, stressed the crucial role of the variables about transactions in economic performance. Through remedying the drawbacks facing neo-classical economic theory, it increased the power of explaining economic phenomena. |
