| By weaving in The Kite Runner with various culturally metaphorical images as kite, pomegranate tree, slingshot and harelip, Khaled Hosseini brings poetics to his narration. These recurring images are arranged to echo in the novel, so the structure of its extensive narration has been packed and the narrative tension has been strengthened. Meanwhile, this narrative technique also enriches the spiritual dimension of the characters and enhances the theme of the novel. |
