| 进入新世纪第二个十年，江苏开启基本实现现代化的新征程。在此进程中，江苏经济的主要目标任务是要紧抓区域协调发展，苏中苏北如期全面小康，苏南率先基本现代化；大力促进基本成形的社会主义市场经济体制体系向健全完善的社会主义市场经济体制体系转变；大力促进粗放型经济向集约型经济的深度转变；大力促进引进为主的自主创新经济向原始创新为主的自主创新经济转变；大力促进投资拉动型经济向消费拉动型经济的转变；大力促进传统工业主导经济向现代服务型经济转变；大力促进城乡分割二元经济向城乡一体化经济转变；大力促进省内“π”型开发战略向“＃”型开发战略转变；大力促进全面小康向初级富裕的转变。 |

| The second decade of the new century sees Jiangsu Province set on a new journey to basically realize modernization. In this process, Jiangsu economy will mainly target on achieving a comprehensive well off society in central and northern Jiangsu as scheduled, and taking the lead role in realizing basic modernization in Southern Jiangsu. It will also aim at coordinated regional development, as well as such a series of great transformations as from a basically shaped to a completely fulfilled socialist market economic system, from extensive economy to intensive economy, from introduced to original independent innovative economy, from investment driven to consuming driven economy, from traditional industry led to modern service oriented economy, from split urban rural dual economy to integrated economy, from a "π" model to a "#" model development strategy, and from a comprehensive well off to primary wealthy society. |
