| 改革开放30多年来，不仅江苏、广东在经济总量和人均经济指标上你追我赶，而且在产业结构、区域发展等方面也显示了不同特点。在经济发展上，江苏对于广东经历了领先、落后、追赶三个阶段；在产业结构上，广东实现了制造业与服务业“双轮驱动”，而江苏更大程度上依赖于制造业；在区域发展上，广东不平衡性超过江苏，广东经济胜在中心城市，而江苏胜在县域经济。 |

| Jiangsu and Guangdong not only catch up with each other on the gross economy development and per capita economic indicators but also show different characteristics on the industrial structure and regional development over the last three decades since Reform and Opening up. Compared with Guangdong, Jiangsu has experienced the three stages of keeping ahead, lagging behind and catching up on economic development. Then, on the industrial structure, Guangdong has realized a "double wheel drive" development of manufacturing industry and service industry while Jiangsu still depends on the manufacturing industry to a greater degree. Finally, as to the regional development, Guangdong is of higher imbalance than Jiangsu. The major cities' economy has outstanding performance in Guangdong while the county economy plays a leading role in Jiangsu. |
