| 作为南宋地方名志，《景定建康志》因其编纂体例、著述宗旨、编纂方法的进步而为历代学者推崇。然志书在地名学上也取得了诸多成就，却鲜为人所看重。《景定建康志》的地名记载甚为丰富，涉及山、水、桥、路、坊、里等诸多方面，或以地名统事，或释地名渊源，负载着历史事件的重要信息，蕴涵着较为翔实的地名史料。这些史料既有存史之用，又可资文献辑佚，也有一定的正史、补史的价值。 |

| Jingdingjiankangzhi, as famous annals in Southern Song Dynasty, has been applauded by scholars over the time for its advancement in compiling style, idea, and methodology. Besides, it has also various achievements in toponymy that has often been unnoticed. Jingdingjiankangzhi recorded lots of toponyms, involving mountains, rivers, bridges, roads, alleys and etc. It either assembled events with the place names, or explained origins. The annals are loaded with important information of historic events, and contain more detailed and accurate historic data of the toponyms. It may serve not only as a history book, but also a literature for historical research with values in rectifying and supplementing information. |
