| 对外开放在推动中国经济模式的转变中起到决定性作用，主要体现在：对外开放打破传统观念，指明改革方向，为转变中国经济模式扫清了思想上的障碍，推动了经济体制模式的转变；同时，对外开放推动农村工业崛起，打破“城乡二元” 模式，促使中国走向全面工业化道路；促使封闭的“进口替代”模式转向“出口导向”模式，推动了经济增长模式的转变。以对外开放推动经济模式的转变是中国特有的经济改革实践。 |

| Opening up has played a decisive role in promoting the transformation of Chinese economic model. It broke the traditional views, pointed directions for the reform, and removed the ideological obstacles. Meanwhile, opening up promoted the rise of rural industry, melted the "urban rural binary pattern", and led the nation on the way for comprehensive industrialization. And it also brought about the shift from closed "import substitution" to "export oriented" mode, and caused the change of economic growth pattern. Transforming the economic model by opening up is an economic reform practice unique to China. |
