| 位京杭运河干线的扬镇地区，因处运河体系之关键，成为运河城市发展史的显例。近代以来，扬州、镇江不仅为运河交通枢纽，是联系运河起终的节点,并发展成为全国闻名的工商业城市。然，迄今并无专文评介运河与近代扬镇经济之关系。由此，试从商业、工业及航运业等三个方面来论证运河对扬镇经济的影响及促动，以揭端绪。 |

| Yangzhou and Zhenjiang area, located along Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, is the typical example in the history of the Canal city development for its key geographical location in the Canal system. In modern times, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang area not only became the node connecting the source and destination of the Canal, but also developed into commercial and industrial cities well known throughout the country. However, there have been no academic articles concerning the relationship between the Canal and Yangzhou and Zhenjiang economy. This article tries to demonstrate the impact caused by the Canal on the economy of Yangzhou and Zhenjiang from three aspects of commerce, industry and shipping business |
