| 五四时期，曹汝霖、章宗祥、陆宗舆被打倒，主要原因是他们的行为背离了民族利益。然而，他们对形势判断的错误、对学生能力的轻视、对现场缺乏控制等应对危机过程中出现的失误也是不可忽视的因素。通过对五四时期“卖国贼”问题的分析，不难发现在民族危机日益加深的情况下，不论是亲日派还是亲美派，只有把民族利益放在首位才能逃过民族话语的审判。 |

| During the May Fourth Movement, Cao Rulin, Zhang Zongxiang, Lu Zongyu were overthrown. The main reason was their deeds deviated from the national interests. However, their mistakes in coping with crisis, such as misjudgment of the situation, their disdain of the students' ability and their lack of control over crisis, can be regarded as non negligible factors contributing to their downfall. Through the analysis of the "traitors" issues in the May 4 Movement period, it is not difficult to see that under the circumstances of increasingly strengthening national crisis, only by putting national interests in the priority, can one escape the trial of the national discourse, whether he is pro Japanese or pro American. |
