| As a special historical event, the Nanjing Massacre can not be denied, and many directors have tried to represent the human disaster in the movies. This thesis, taking The Flowers of War as an example, chooses from the aspect of historical calamity and visual memory, and compares and contrasts the perspectives chosen and the cultural values embodied in the adaptations, thus reconsiders the historical disaster and its artistic representation, hoping to remember without doubt the special event of Nanjing Massacre. |
