| British modern novelist Virginia Woolf devotes all her life to the innovation and exploration in novel forms. She concerns about human mind and the essential life and unfolds the "inner authenticity" of human being with an entirely new writing style and her remarkable understanding of time. In her novel Mrs. Dalloway, by going into the heroine Clarissa's inner world and depicting her personal feelings, the author attempts to search for the real self to reveal and interpret the nature and true meaning of life. She also presents the character's deep consciousness by using the motifs and symbols, so as to deepen the theme and achieve the unique artistic effect. |
