| 新媒体艺术引领当代国际艺术潮流，呈现出强劲势头。与新媒体艺术的欣欣向荣相比，新媒体艺术批评理论建构和新媒体艺术批评实践却显得相当滞后，新媒体艺术实践与艺术批评呈现“失衡”状态。新媒体艺术与艺术媒介显现亲密关系，新媒体艺术凸显媒介（媒材）的作用。媒体的变革和技术的革新影响着艺术观念、艺术形态和艺术审美的革故鼎新，新媒体艺术实践亟需艺术媒介批评予以观照和引导。对艺术媒介和艺术媒介批评的分析，有助于建立新媒体艺术媒介批评理论。 |

| New media art that leads contemporary international art development shows a strong momentum. Compared with the thriving scene of new media art, the construction of its theory and criticism lag behind and there is “imbalance” between art practice and art criticism. New media art shows an intimacy with art media, which highlights the role of media. Media reform and the technological innovation affect the artistic concepts, art forms and art aesthetic. New media art practice calls for art media criticism. Analysis of art media and art media criticism will help to establish media criticism theory of new media art. |
