英国福公司是一家在华经营时间较长、规模较大的外资企业,其在河南焦作一带的采矿经营活动,遭到了地方势力的抵抗。1933年3月,福公司的运煤车辆在河南焦作被道清路局扣留,该公司通过外交途径,要求放行。围绕着如何解决这场运煤纠纷,中英双方、南京国民政府与河南省政府及地方民众之间进行了一系列交涉与博弈,这场纠纷以河南中原公司与英国福公司两公司合资经营而告终。河南运煤纠纷的曲折交涉过程,呈现出此时外交内政、央地关系错综复杂的状况。 |

British Pekin Syndicate Company is a foreign funded enterprise with a long history of operation and a large scale in China. Its mining operations in the Jiaozuo area of Henan Province have faced resistance from local forces. In March 1933, the coal transport vehicles of the Pekin Syndicate Company were detained by the Tao Ching Railway in Jiaozuo, Henan. The company requested release through diplomatic means. Focusing on how to solve the coal transport dispute, a series of negotiations were carried out between China and the UK, the Nanjing National Government, the Henan Provincial Government and local people, and finally ended with the joint venture between Chung Yuan Company of China and British Pekin Syndicate Company. The tortuous negotiation process of the coal transportation dispute in Henan presented the situation of complicated diplomatic and internal affairs, ups and downs of central local relations at that time. |
