      新生代农民工进入城市后,面临着与农村社会截然不同的消费图景,消费实践成为他们建构认同的重要路径。新生代农民工在职业劳动之外,主动参与品牌信息生产,通过“自由劳动”将自身纳入到全球资本主义的经济版图中。他们在虚拟空间中投入成本,自主成为“数字产消者”,实现对主体形象的改写与再生产。新生代农民工通过使用手机趋同城市青年的消费形态,表达对城市“新市民”身份的乐观想象。
英文摘要:
      After their entry into urban space, the new generation migrant workers face a consumption prospect completely different from the one in the rural society. Consumption practice has become an important way for them to build identity. In addition to professional production, these migrant workers take initiative to participate in the production of brand information, integrating themselves into the economic map of global capitalism through “free labor”. They have realized the rewriting and reproduction of their subject images, by investing in the virtual space, thus turning into “digital prosumers” on their own. The new generation migrant workers imitate the consumption patterns of urban youth, and express their optimistic imagination of new urban citizen identity through their usage of mobile phones.
